State Palace Explains Logo Selection for Independence Day Embodies Spirit of Mutual Cooperation

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as Chairman of the National Committee for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, explained the process behind the selection of the 81st Independence Day logo. “The selection of the logo for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia provides a space for the public to take part in the independence celebrations. This involvement reflects the spirit of democracy, mutual cooperation, and a sense of ownership towards our national symbols,” Prasetyo said in a written statement on Thursday (25/6). According to him, the creation of the Independence Day logo involved public participation in the selection process and represented tangible public involvement in enlivening this historic day for the nation. Through this mechanism, the public not only witnesses the final result but also plays a role in determining the visual identity that reflects the spirit of Indonesia’s independence commemoration. He stated that every vote and input from the public plays an important role in determining the design that best represents the nation’s ideals, future optimism, and the spirit of Indonesian unity. “The commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day belongs to all Indonesian people. Therefore, we involved various elements of society, from students, university students, and creative communities, to the general public, so that this logo selection process becomes a space for national collaboration that strengthens the sense of nationhood and love for the homeland,” he continued. Furthermore, he hopes that the chosen logo for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day will not only function as a visual identity for the celebration but also become a symbol of unity and a reminder that Indonesia’s independence was born, fought for, and is continuously safeguarded by all its people. “Through this spirit of togetherness, we want to ensure that every independence commemoration is not just about remembering history, but also about strengthening our collective determination to continue the struggle towards an Indonesia that is more advanced, just, and prosperous,” he concluded.
