State Palace Confirms No Reshuffle of Red and White Cabinet Yet

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto has no plans yet to conduct a reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet. The statement was made at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/7), in response to circulating issues regarding the performance of ministers. Prasetyo explained that the evaluation and monitoring process of the cabinet is indeed carried out routinely. However, he stressed that this oversight aims to ensure government programmes run according to targets, rather than always leading to a change of officials. “As we have often stated, the evaluation or monitoring process does not always result in a reshuffle,” said Prasetyo. According to the Minister of State Secretary, President Prabowo has his own parameters for assessing the performance of ministries. The evaluation covers coordination, periodic monitoring, and aspects of public communication. If the delivery of information to the public is found to be inaccurate, it will be noted for improvement by the relevant minister. Prasetyo added that strict monitoring is carried out so that every ministry is able to work quickly, transparently, and with good governance in solving public issues. “There is no reshuffle yet, there is no reshuffle yet, not yet,” he stressed. For context, President Prabowo last reshuffled the cabinet at the end of April 2026. That move was the fifth reshuffle since he took office, marked by the appointment of Jumhur Hidayat as Minister of Environment and Dudung Abdurachman as Chief of the Presidential Staff. Currently, the Palace’s main focus is ensuring all members of the Red and White Cabinet remain solid in carrying out their mandate and achieving the strategic targets set by the President.
