State Palace: Cabinet Evaluation Does Not Always Lead to Reshuffle
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo Subianto evaluated and directly provided direction to all members of the Red and White Cabinet during a plenary cabinet session. Pras stated there are no plans yet for a reshuffle following the evaluation.
"The President took the opportunity at the plenary cabinet session to, first, evaluate all the priority programmes currently being run by the government. At the same time, he provided direction to accelerate the priority programmes that must be completed in the second semester," Pras said at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/7/2026).
Pras mentioned there are no plans to replace cabinet members in the near future. He said the cabinet evaluation is intended to speed up the realisation of government programmes.
"Not yet, not yet, not yet (a cabinet reshuffle). As we have often said, the evaluation or monitoring process does not always end with what is called a reshuffle," Pras stated.
Pras added that Prabowo is ensuring the implementation process of programmes in each ministry. He instructed that every programme be executed quickly, correctly, and on target.
"So the monitoring, supervision, and evaluation are in the context I have just explained, which is to ensure that the programmes in each respective ministry are executed correctly, executed quickly, executed with good governance, and executed in the spirit of solving the problems faced by the community," he continued.
