Dony Oskaria, who is the Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara, led a meeting with the boards of directors of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and the boards of directors and the boards of commissioners of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani on Monday, 18 May 2026, to follow up on the adjustment of the PNM Mekaar programme interest rate to eight per cent. The move aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to ensure financing access for low-income families and ultra micro entrepreneurs remains affordable and targeted.

The focus of the discussion included strengthening capital access for women ultra micro entrepreneurs while safeguarding business sustainability, loan quality, and the health of the Ultra Micro Holding ecosystem.

To date, Dony said, PNM Mekaar has served more than 16.2 million customers, all of whom are women running ultra micro businesses. The programme is regarded as a strategic instrument for expanding financial inclusion while reinforcing the economic empowerment of women across various regions.

Dony emphasised the importance of sustaining the ultra micro financing programme so that it continues to deliver tangible benefits to the wider community. He noted that strengthening ultra micro financing must broaden community business access while promoting sustainable household economic independence.

“BP BUMN and Danantara support the strengthening of inclusive and sustainable financing programmes as part of efforts to bolster the people’s economy,” Dony added.

Through inter-BUMN synergy, Dony hopes the ultra micro financing programme will further enhance the capacity of community enterprises, widen access to productive economic activity, and create more equitable social and economic impacts across Indonesia.
