Industropolis Batang, which forms part of the Danareksa state-owned enterprise holding company, has unveiled the Industropolis Coastal Rest Area, a strategic stopover point featuring open sea views along the Trans Java toll route.

Located at Exit Toll KIT Batang KM 371+800, the Industropolis Coastal Rest Area provides an alternative stopping point for travellers navigating the strategically important Trans Java corridor. Unlike conventional rest areas, this facility offers panoramic sea views, creating a refreshing atmosphere for travellers to rest briefly before continuing their journey.

The Industropolis Coastal Rest Area opened to the public from 14 to 23 March 2026 with comprehensive facilities including expansive parking areas, toilet facilities, family rest zones, local Batang micro and small enterprise food vendors, and scenic sea view areas. Additionally, the site features a mosque capable of accommodating up to 2,400 worshippers across approximately 200 square metres, enabling travellers to rest and worship comfortably.

Indri Septa Respati, Marketing and Development Director of Industropolis Batang Special Economic Zone, stated that the rest area opening represents the zone’s service commitment to the broader public, particularly travellers using the Trans Java toll route.

“We want the exodus season to serve as an opportunity for the public to become more familiar with Industropolis Batang. This zone is developing not merely as an industrial hub but as an integrated new city in Batang. The rest area represents our commitment to providing comfortable rest facilities for travellers whilst offering a distinctive atmosphere,” Indri explained.

Nasrullah, Chief Executive of PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang, noted that the Industropolis Coastal Rest Area provides an attractive alternative stopping point for toll users on the route.

“The Industropolis Coastal Rest Area is particularly appealing owing to its beautiful sea views. We hope toll users will pause here briefly, enjoy the pleasant surroundings, and continue their journeys more relaxed and safely,” he stated.

Batang Regent M. Faiz Kurniawan highlighted that the industrial zone and toll infrastructure have driven regional economic growth now reaching approximately 7.79 per cent.

“The industrial zone and toll road have catalysed Batang’s economic growth and created employment opportunities for residents. The Industropolis Coastal Rest Area represents Batang’s new face to travellers on the toll route,” he explained.

For travellers, the stopover experience proved memorable. Santoso, a visitor from Jakarta heading to Solo, expressed appreciation for the atmosphere offered.

“This is my first time stopping here. Initially, I thought this was just an ordinary industrial zone, but it features a rest area with stunning sea views. It felt refreshing after a long journey. The place is comfortable, making the trip more enjoyable,” he remarked.
