State-Owned Enterprise Agency pushes for accelerated digital transformation through telecommunications
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Agency and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, is pushing for the acceleration of digital transformation through the telecommunications sector to support national economic growth. “Digital transformation in the telecommunications sector is not only related to industrial competitiveness but is also capable of providing a real impact on national economic growth and improving the quality of services to the public,” Dony stated in an official statement received in Jakarta on Monday.
To drive this accelerated digital transformation, Dony held a meeting with the President Commissioner of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Angga Raka Prabowo, as well as the Board of Directors of Telkomsel, to discuss company performance progress and the strengthening of the telecommunications sector’s transformation through sustainable digital innovation.
Monday’s meeting addressed various strategic steps to accelerate national digital transformation, including the strengthening of connectivity infrastructure, the development of digital technology-based services, and the expansion of service access to reach the public more broadly and equitably. This transformation is considered a vital factor in supporting productivity, efficiency, and national economic growth amidst increasingly dynamic technological developments.
Furthermore, the discussions highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration to strengthen Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, making it more adaptive, modern, and inclusive. Through synergy between the government, state-owned enterprises, and telecommunications industry players, it is hoped that digital innovation can deliver faster, more secure services capable of meeting the needs of both the public and the business world.
