State owned Bank Mandiri is giving consideration to issuing U.S.
dollar-denominated bonds in the international money market,
according to its appointed underwriter The Hongkong and Shanghai
Banking Corporation (HSBC) on Friday. The move marks the first
time Bank Mandiri has sought foreign funds. It was not
immediately clear for what purpose Bank Mandiri will need the new
funds.
