The state ensures that the rights of the families of three TNI soldiers who fell during the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon are fulfilled. The total compensation and benefits disbursed through PT Asabri (Persero) amount to Rp1.41 billion. The government also guarantees the future of the families of the soldiers who died in Lebanon.

The three TNI soldiers from Garuda XXIII-S/UNIFIL Contingent perished while carrying out their duty to maintain world peace, namely Major Inf Posthumous Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Sergeant Major Posthumous Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Corporal Posthumous Farizal Rhomadhon.

The President Director of PT ASABRI (Persero), Jeffry Haryadi PM, stated that ASABRI’s presence represents the state in ensuring that the bereaved families continue to receive protection. “We share in the grief over the passing of the nation’s finest sons. We are working alongside the government to ensure that the families left behind receive certainty of protection through the fulfilment of tangible and impactful rights and benefits,” said Jeffry on Wednesday (22/4/2026).

The state provided a final tribute directly to the soldiers. President Prabowo Subianto led the procession for receiving the remains at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 4 April 2026 and greeted each family member amid the atmosphere of mourning.

The burial of the three soldiers was conducted with military honours in their respective hometowns on 5 April 2026. TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto led the ceremony in Bandung, while other TNI officials led the processions in Magelang and Kulon Progo, with Asabri representatives accompanying the families.

Asabri ensures that all heirs’ rights are processed without delay. Protection is provided through the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Old-Age Savings (THT) programmes in accordance with applicable regulations.

The details of the benefits received include a special death risk compensation of Rp450 million for each soldier, plus insurance savings values and scholarships for their children. The total benefits received by the family of Major Inf Posthumous Zulmi amount to Rp496.28 million, while the families of Sergeant Major Posthumous Ichwan and Corporal Posthumous Farizal each receive more than Rp457 million.

Jeffry emphasised that Asabri’s commitment does not end with the initial compensation. “The soldier’s sacrifice becomes a trust for Asabri to safeguard their family’s future. In accordance with statutory regulations, soldiers who die on duty are entitled to protection from the state through the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Old-Age Savings (THT) programmes,” said Jeffry.

In addition to compensation, Asabri also guarantees the continuity of education for the deceased’s children through a scholarship programme. These benefits remain available even if the children have not yet reached school age and can be claimed upon starting formal education.

Asabri stated that the disbursement of benefits is carried out with principles of timeliness, accuracy, and proper administration. This step is affirmed as a manifestation of the state’s presence in ensuring that military families do not face their loss alone.
