Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka receive holiday allowances (THR) like other state officials. The tax on the President and Vice President’s THR is also borne by the state as the funding comes from the state budget (APBN).

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto announced that the government has prepared a budget of Rp55 trillion, a 10 per cent increase from the previous year, for THR for approximately 10.5 million state apparatus members.

Recipient groups include civil service apparatus (ASN), including civil servants with work contracts (PPPK), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri), and retirees.

The THR is distributed to 2.4 million central ASN members, TNI soldiers, and Polri members, as well as 4.3 million regional ASN members and 3.8 million retirees. THR disbursement is carried out in stages from 26 February 2026 or in the first week of Ramadan.

“THR is provided to civil servants, prospective civil servants, PPPK members, state officials, TNI soldiers, Polri members, retired civil servants, retired TNI/Polri soldiers, and retired state officials,” said Airlangga.

Pursuant to Law Number 7 of 1978 on the Administrative Financial Rights of the President and Vice President, the President’s basic salary is set at six times the basic salary of the highest state official other than the President and Vice President.

Meanwhile, the Vice President’s basic salary is four times the basic salary of the highest state official.

The basic salary of the highest state official is regulated in Government Regulation Number 75 of 2000, which is Rp5,040,000 per month for leaders of high state institutions such as the Chairman of the House of Representatives, People’s Consultative Assembly, and Supreme Court.

Based on this reference, the President’s basic salary reaches Rp30,240,000 per month, or six times Rp5,040,000. Meanwhile, the Vice President’s basic salary is Rp20,160,000 per month, or four times Rp5,040,000.

Based on these components, the President’s total THR is estimated to reach Rp62,740,000. The Vice President’s THR is estimated at Rp42,160,000.

These amounts could potentially be larger as they do not include other attached allowances that may be taken into account in the current year’s THR policy.
