Space technology company Starvision has announced its readiness to launch the Lampung-1 satellite, part of the OSE Hyperspectral Twin Satellite mission scheduled to take place on 5 August 2026 from the sea off the coast of Shandong, China.

Information regarding the launch readiness of the OSE Hyperspectral Twin Satellite mission, including the Lampung-1 satellite, was revealed through a post on Starvision’s official Instagram account, @star.vision_aerospace, published ahead of the mission’s execution.

In the post, Starvision stated that the rocket carrying the OSE Hyperspectral Twin Satellite had been transported to the launch vessel and was heading towards the launch site at sea off the coast of Shandong, China. The launch is scheduled for 5 August 2026.

According to information shared via the official Instagram account, the mission forms part of efforts to strengthen international space cooperation by carrying two primary satellites: Lampung-1 and Samarkand 2028.

The company also invited the public to follow the latest developments ahead of the mission’s liftoff. In the post, Starvision highlighted the involvement of the Lampung Provincial Government, BRIN Indonesia and Uzcosmos Uzbekistan as part of the collaboration in the mission.

Starvision explained that Lampung-1 was developed in cooperation with the Lampung Provincial Government. The satellite is designed to support the acceleration of marine economic growth, the strengthening of environmental governance, and industrial collaboration in the Lampung region.

Meanwhile, Samarkand 2028 was developed together with Uzbekistan to support regional ecological monitoring and technological innovation.

In the same post, Starvision noted that both satellites are equipped with multi-band hyperspectral imaging technology combined with artificial intelligence (AI) computing on board the satellite. This technology enables data processing to be carried out directly in orbit, resulting in information that is faster, smarter and more accessible to a wide range of users.
