Starting out anew, all over again
Starting out anew, all over again
The world over people celebrate Idul Fitri, also known as Eid Al-
Fitr, the day when, according to Islamic teachings, Muslims
return to their state of purity.
The celebration, marking the end of the fasting month
Ramadhan, might be called differently across the world but it is
all about the same thing -- days of joy and thanksgiving where
people exchange good wishes, ask for forgiveness and show love
toward others.
While it's tradition for Indonesian Muslims to celebrate the
day with relatives in their hometowns, their counterparts in
other countries observe the moment with different customs but in
the same spirit.
It's in the hope that the love and peace shared at this
special time will endure for the rest of the year.
