Starting from Social Service, This Dental Clinic Expands Access to Care in Sukabumi
As part of efforts to expand access to dental health services beyond major cities, FDC Dental Clinic has opened a new branch in Sukabumi Regency, West Java. The presence of this branch originated from dental health services and education provided by the FDC Foundation in the Kasepuhan Ciptagelar customary area, Sukabumi Regency, on 16 March 2026. Through the FDC Berbagi programme and Goes to Village activities, the FDC Foundation provided examinations, treatment, and dental health education to communities still facing limited access. Direct interaction with the residents of Ciptagelar reinforced the understanding that there is a need for easily accessible dental services outside urban centres. CEO and Founder of FDC Dental Clinic, Ita Lestari, explained that the opening of the Sukabumi branch, located on Jalan Sudirman, Sriwidari Village, Gunungpuyuh, Sukabumi City, holds special meaning as it represents a continuation from social activities towards more sustainable access. ‘Previously, through the FDC Foundation, we were present in Ciptagelar to provide dental services and education. From that activity, we saw that the community’s needs are not only in big cities. Therefore, we want to build continuity between social activities and business growth so that the benefits can be felt more widely,’ she said. According to Ita, the Sukabumi branch is part of a plan to open five new branches in various regions. This expansion is expected not only to bring dental services closer but also to open job opportunities, expand health education, and encourage collaboration with local communities and stakeholders. ‘Business growth must have a greater impact than just adding branches. The wider the FDC network, the greater our responsibility to provide better access to health, education, and opportunities. This is the social impact ecosystem we are building through the FDC Foundation,’ she stated. The expansion runs in parallel with the strengthening of the FDC Foundation, a social movement focusing on education, health services, youth leadership development, and cultural diversity. The foundation operates four main pillars: FDC Scholarship, FDC Berbagi, FDC Leadership, and FDC Culture Diversity. FDC is also strengthening its transformation as a health technology company that integrates clinical services, digital innovation, customer experience, and social impact. Through technology-based services, patients can make reservations, choose doctors and clinic locations, and obtain service information more quickly and transparently. FDC is a technology company focused on dental health services that prioritises innovation and customer experience. Established in 2010, FDC currently has 70 branches, has developed a clinic network across various regions in Indonesia, and serves more than 60,000 patients each month. All medical personnel on duty have undergone a selection process and competency tests in accordance with company standards to ensure consistent service quality across the entire clinic network. FDC Dental Clinic utilises artificial intelligence technology to improve dental health services. Dental and oral health issues remain one of the most common health complaints in Indonesia.
