Chief Operating Officer of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, has revealed that the organisation is currently building an integrated, world-class human resources management system across the entire BUMN ecosystem. Dony, who also serves as Head of BP BUMN, expects that by 2028, all directors, CEOs, and other positions within state-owned enterprises will be filled by individuals who have grown their careers internally. “This is what will ensure the sustainability of our companies in the future,” Dony stated on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The system begins with the implementation of a Single Grading System and Job Value to harmonise assessment methods and job classifications across all corporate groups. Furthermore, Danantara is applying a Job Requirement and Competency Matrix as the basis for talent placement. Through this system, every position will be filled based on competency, qualifications, and objective assessment results, leaving no room for preferential appointments. As part of strengthening leadership, Danantara has also established the Danantara Corporate University, which will serve as a development centre for approximately 300 top BUMN talents. Participants will be equipped with uniform standards of competency, leadership, and soft skills to prepare future company leaders. Through this system, Danantara aims to ensure that all strategic positions within the BUMN ecosystem in the future are filled by talent that has been nurtured and developed from within the companies. Dony emphasised that building talent is the primary responsibility of every CEO, so that the transformations already underway can continue and become the foundation for the next generation of leaders. “Everything must be talents that we develop. That is our responsibility as a CEO,” Dony said. He stressed that the transformation of BUMN is not only aimed at improving current company performance but also at building a foundation for long-term sustainability, in line with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto. Although the transformation has driven performance improvements in several BUMNs, Dony asserted that this success must be supported by sustainable human resource development. According to him, strong leadership is the key to ensuring companies continue to grow and are able to face future challenges.
