Star Air launches flight to Pekanbaru

JAKARTA: Privately owned airline Star Air has started flight
service to Pekanbaru from Jakarta as part of its effort to expand
operations in the country.

The company said in a statement that it would have daily
flights between the two cities starting on Sunday.

Star Air also flies directly to Balikpapan from Jakarta as
well as operates another flight that stops in Surabaya. Star Air
also flies to Medan from Jakarta, to Surabaya from Jakarta and
has flight service between Surabaya and Balikpapan.

The airline operates three B737-200 aircraft. -- JP
