The supervisor of Pasar Baru Bekasi, Syaiful Ridwan, said price conditions for foodstuffs remain relatively controlled. Under monitoring data for Pasar Baru Bekasi, premium rice was recorded at Rp 14,900 per kilogram, while medium rice was Rp 13,000 per kilogram. For chilli, large red chilli and curly red chilli were priced at Rp 50,000 per kilogram each. Green bird’s-eye chilli sold at Rp 55,000 per kilogram and large green chilli at Rp 25,000 per kilogram. “Currently, red bird’s-eye chilli remains the commodity with the highest price, around Rp 85,000 per kilogram,” Syaiful said. Meanwhile, shallot priced at Rp 45,000 per kilogram, regular garlic Rp 30,000 per kilogram, and garlic cut Rp 34,000 per kilogram. Broiler chicken meat also remained stable at Rp 38,000 per kilogram. Broiler eggs were observed at Rp 27,000 per kilogram, while village eggs were sold at Rp 3,000 per egg. Meanwhile, Minyakita branded cooking oil was sold at Rp 15,500 per litre. Packaged cooking oil brands Bimoli and Sania were priced at Rp 40,000 per two litres each. “Currently, the price of loose cooking oil averages Rp 20,000 per kilogram,” he said. “Distribution of foodstuffs to Pasar Baru Bekasi is still running normally, so supplies remain available in the market,” he added.
