Standard Chartered terror

For the past few months members of my family have been receiving death threats and harassment from a Standard Chartered Bank representative/debt collector. In his last phone call to my house (Oct. 26), he threatened he would hunt me down and kill me. He has also threatened my father.

The reason for this is that I am a Standard Chartered Bank credit card debtor.

I plan to raise this matter with the Indonesian Consumer Foundation (YLKI), the Standard Chartered Bank headquarters in the UK, the British Embassy, the mass media, the banking ombudsman and the securities commissions in Indonesia and the UK, and eventually with the police and the district attorney's office.

I am saddened that Standard Chartered Bank, an international company, demonstrates its low respect for customers in this way.

I have been told that death threats and harassment are common terror tactics used by Standard Chartered Bank debt collectors.
