Stalls sell more than snacks

BEKASI: Councillor Syafrudin asked heads of subdistrict administrations in the town to investigate street-side snack stalls that were suspected to be covers for prostitution and drug deals.

"We have received complaints from residents about these dimly lit snack stalls," the councillor from Commission E on social welfare said on Tuesday.

Syafrudin also asked subdistrict heads to assist the administration by registering sex workers so that they could be trained in various skills to enable them to seek other employment. -- Antara
