In the future, the challenge will not only be about the availability of labour but also how to ensure the quality and consistency of their performance. Jakarta (ANTARA) - Staffinc, a company providing workforce solutions, has recorded developments in cross-industry labour needs, marked by strengthened capabilities in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector and increasing demands for the quality and readiness of the workforce. “This trend reflects a shift in business needs, where labour is no longer just required to be work-ready but also able to drive performance directly,” said Staffinc’s Chief Commercial Officer, Margana Mohamad, in his statement in Jakarta on Monday. This phenomenon, he continued, aligns with the World Economic Forum’s report titled “The Future of Jobs Report 2023,” which shows that around 44 percent of workers’ skills need to be updated in the coming years. Margana said that this is also driving companies to focus more on adaptive, productive labour that can contribute directly to business outcomes. “The increasing complexity of operations, from multi-channel distribution to demands for speed and service consistency, is also making companies need stronger visibility into field workforce performance,” he stated. “Many companies still view labour as an operational need. However, in the field, they are the determining factor in execution that directly impacts business results. In the future, the challenge will not only be about labour availability but how to ensure the quality and consistency of their performance,” said Margana. Throughout that period, Staffinc also saw a shift in client needs that increasingly emphasises the quality of execution and the workforce’s contribution to productivity. “This is driving an approach that not only focuses on placement but also on how workforce performance can be measured and directly linked to operational efficiency,” said Margana. As part of these efforts, Staffinc has developed the AI Interviewer system, an AI-based technology designed to improve efficiency and consistency in the candidate selection process. This development aligns with global trends in the use of AI in human resources functions. On the other hand, Staffinc will also strengthen collaborations with industry partners through various engagement programmes through 2026, including limited cross-sector discussions, community sessions, and leadership forums that address trends and best practices in workforce management.
