Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq has been named a corruption suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) after being nabbed in a sting operation (OTT). The KPK displayed the cash that staff allegedly planned to hand to Fadia. In a press conference at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the money was shown as it was withdrawn by Fadia’s staff. The KPK explained that withdrawals by staff were always documented and reported.

‘At every cash withdrawal, the staff reported and documented it; this is the documentation made by the staff when withdrawing the cash, which was subsequently to be given to the regent,’ said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo.

The money was visible in two denominations, Rp50,000 and Rp100,000 notes, in several bundles tied with rubber bands.

Additionally, the KPK displayed cars seized from several individuals at the Regent’s official residence and in Cibubur. The vehicles were: Wuling Air EV, Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Camry, Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Vellfire. ‘The team seized a number of four-wheeled motor vehicles,’ he said.

The KPK said Fadia’s daughter and husband established a company named PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB). Fadia is suspected to be the beneficial owner of the company. The company also housed Fadia’s campaign team, and she allegedly urged regional government units to award contracts to the company.

PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB) obtained outsourcing projects in 17 regional units, three regional hospitals and one district in 2025. She is charged under Article 12(i) and Article 12B of the Anti-Corruption Law, read together with Article 127(1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Penal Code.
