Police are investigating the suspected premeditated murder of Agrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, the Chairman of the DPD II Partai Golkar for Southeast Maluku. Police have questioned six people to delve deeper into the case.

“Because of that, we are still developing (the suspected premeditated murder). But that is the article (premeditated murder) applied by the investigators in handling the case,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, as quoted by detikSulsel, on Monday (20/4/2026).

Police have also examined two perpetrators, namely Hendrikus Rahayaan (28) and Finansius Ulukyanan (36). “So the six witnesses include the two perpetrators, the reporting witness, and witnesses who were at the crime scene (TKP),” she explained.

Rositah added that the two perpetrators, after being examined, will be detained at the Maluku Regional Police Detention Centre. She stated that the two perpetrators are threatened with being charged under the article for premeditated murder.

“The criminal act against life or premeditated murder and or the criminal act against the body or joint assault resulting in death as referred to in Article 459 jo 20 letter c or Article 458 paragraph (1) jo 20 letter c or 262 paragraph 4 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code,” she clarified.

“The threat of punishment for the two suspected perpetrators is the death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum of 20 years in prison,” she added.
