ST Burhanuddin Speaks Out Regarding Attorney General Replacement Rumours
The presence of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (1/10/26) occurred amidst rumours of a reshuffle within the Red and White Cabinet. Consequently, speculation regarding the replacement of the Attorney General has resurfaced.
Burhanuddin has finally addressed these reports. He confirmed that there is no replacement of the Attorney General as being widely discussed.
“No, there is no (replacement of the Attorney General),” he stated.
In addition to the rumours regarding his own position, Burhanuddin also refuted claims that the former Junior Attorney General for General Crimes, Noor Rachmad, would be his successor.
However, Burhanuddin did not elaborate further on the specific agenda that brought him to the Palace, stating only that he was there to fulfil an invitation.
“I am attending (an invitation),” he said.
Burhanuddin’s appearance at the Palace coincided with the arrival of several other state officials, occurring alongside the ongoing cabinet reshuffle agenda and the inauguration of various officials.
