Spyshot: Appearance of Leapmotor B10 Electric Car

The Indonesian electric vehicle market appears set to welcome a new player in the near future. A vehicle strongly suspected to be the Leapmotor B10 was captured on camera traversing the streets of Jakarta ahead of its official launch in Indonesia.

The vehicle was spotted by the Kompas.com editorial team on the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road towards Semanggi on Wednesday (20/05/2026). Although the entire body remains covered in camouflage stickers, the silhouette and shape of the vehicle point towards Leapmotor’s latest electric SUV.

This sighting further strengthens the signals of Leapmotor’s arrival in Indonesia, following previous confirmations that it will officially debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 this coming July.

Tan Kim Piauw, Chief Executive Officer of PT Indomobil National Distributor, stated that Leapmotor will be officially introduced to the public during GIIAS 2026. “We have confirmed that we will bring models such as the B10, which is an SUV. We are also planning to bring other models,” he said.

The appearance of the camouflaged unit on public roads indicates that testing processes or homologation preparations have commenced prior to the official launch. With the increasing number of Chinese automotive brands entering Indonesia, competition in the national electric vehicle market is predicted to intensify in the coming years.
