SPX Express to Send 10 Top-performing Couriers on Umrah
Jakarta (ANTARA) — SPX Express has officially announced the 10 couriers selected for its Umrah Super programme.
The programme recognises the dedication and strong performance of SPX couriers in Indonesia, while helping them fulfil their dream of travelling to the Holy Land for Umrah.
Umrah Super is one of the new benefits offered under the SPX Super Manfaat programme, which provides a range of support for couriers.
“We want to recognise the couriers who have performed well at SPX by sending them on Umrah. This programme reflects our commitment to and appreciation of couriers’ dedication in providing the best service to customers across Indonesia,” SPX Express Business Operations Director Harry Akbar said in an email response on Wednesday (21 October 2026).
SPX Express held the selection process from 1 July to 30 September 2026.
Following selection and verification, 10 SPX Express couriers who had been with the company for at least three years as of 2026 and achieved the highest service performance scores were given the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land.
Recently, videos of several SPX Express couriers reacting emotionally to the news that they had been selected for Umrah went viral on social media.
One of them was Endra Wahyudi, an SPX Express courier from South Sumatra (Sumbagsel). The announcement went viral after his supervisor surprised him.
Endra was initially called into the office by his supervisor, who then told him that a brown envelope he had received contained a letter confirming his Umrah trip.
“Is this true, sir? Am I really going on Umrah?” Endra said in the video, his eyes shining as he tried to hold back tears in front of his colleagues.
Another recipient, Apriyani Saraswati, a courier at SPX Express’s Cakung Hub, also experienced an emotional moment. She said the opportunity to go on Umrah was a precious gift she had long dreamed of.
Taufik Muslim, an SPX Express courier from Bekasi, West Java, said he had not expected to receive the company’s recognition through the Umrah Super programme.
“I still can’t believe it. Alhamdulillah … thank you, SPX. Thank you for noticing us couriers and recognising our work. I’ve been productive and enjoy making customers happy by getting their parcels to them quickly. It turns out this is the result of my work being recognised, and I’m very grateful,” Taufik told the editorial team.
The 10 selected SPX Express couriers are scheduled to depart for Umrah in January 2027, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
Before their departure, SPX Express will help prepare a range of requirements, including administrative documents, travel equipment, medical examinations and briefing sessions for the couriers.
“Through the Umrah Super programme under SPX Super Manfaat, we hope that the couriers selected will be able to perform Umrah smoothly, benefit from the experience and receive its blessings,” Harry said.
Umrah Super is one of the new benefits introduced under SPX Super Manfaat to support couriers’ day-to-day needs.
Alongside three benefits launched in the middle of the year — Umrah Super, Beasiswa Super and Kelas Super — SPX Super Manfaat also offers other support, including discounts of up to 40 per cent on vehicle servicing, electronics, data packages and insurance, as well as loans for couriers.
