SPX Express Opens Scholarships to Umrah for Couriers, Adds Training and Discounts
SPX Express has launched a programme offering scholarships, Umrah, and skills training for its couriers as part of an effort to improve welfare and advance field staff careers. The programme, titled SPX Super Manfaat, comprises three benefits: Beasiswa Super, Umrah Super, and Kelas Super for SPX Express couriers who meet the eligibility criteria.
Harry Akbar, SPX Express’s Operations Director for Business, said the programme is a form of corporate appreciation for couriers’ contributions to maintaining optimal delivery services across Indonesia. ‘The excellent service experienced by users nationwide is inseparable from the dedication of our couriers. As an act of appreciation, we are offering couriers the opportunity to receive support in the form of educational scholarships up to the chance to perform Umrah,’ he said in an official statement dated 21 May 2026.
Harry noted that the programme is designed not only to meet operational needs of couriers but also to provide long-term benefits for the welfare and personal development of the couriers and their families. In addition to educational support, scholarship recipients will also gain career opportunities at SPX Express after completing their studies. The programme is expected to help open access to better education for couriers’ families.
Meanwhile, under the Umrah Super programme, SPX Express will send ten couriers with top performance to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The company will cover all travel requirements, from airfare, visa, accommodation, transport, meals, meningitis vaccination, medical checks, to pilgrimage accompaniment.
The programme serves as a recognition of the dedication and performance of couriers in carrying out their daily duties. SPX Express has also introduced Kelas Super, focusing on developing the capacity and skills of couriers. Through this programme, the company offers dozens of trainings with relevant material to enhance couriers’ competencies and professionalism in serving customers.
The programme also provides service and spare-parts discounts through collaborations with Planet Ban, Shop & Bike, Shop & Drive, and other partners. Couriers additionally receive discounts on electronic products and gadgets from OPPO and Samsung up to 46 percent, data package offers from Telkomsel, and health and accident insurance protection.
