SPX Courier Returns Rp92 Million After Customer's Erroneous Transfer

A courier for SPX Express, Syarif Husein Akbar, has returned Rp92 million to a customer who made an erroneous transfer whilst paying for a cash on delivery (COD) parcel. The incident began when customer Rita Armila intended to pay for a COD package worth Rp92,000. In her haste, Rita transferred Rp92 million to Syarif’s account without realising the overpayment. Rita only became aware of the mistake after Syarif contacted her. The courier, who is based at the Banguntapan 2 hub in Yogyakarta, had noticed the Rp92 million entering his account and subsequently requested Rita’s account details to return the funds. Syarif has worked as an SPX Express courier for three years. He is known among colleagues as a polite and humble individual with a strong work ethic. The story of the returned funds gained positive attention from netizens after Rita shared it on her Threads account. ‘We greatly appreciate Syarif’s initiative and integrity. Couriers like this can serve as an example because of their good deeds,’ said Harry in a written statement. Harry added that SPX Express would provide direct recognition to Syarif for his actions.
