JAKARTA – The National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK) reported that investment realisation in KEKs reached Rp32 trillion in the first semester of 2026. This realisation was dominated by foreign direct investment (PMA) amounting to Rp24 trillion, while domestic direct investment (PMDN) totalled Rp8 trillion, creating 34,162 new jobs. Cumulatively, from 2012 to 28 July 2026, investment realisation in KEKs reached Rp368 trillion from 444 business entities and entrepreneurs. This cumulative investment realisation has resulted in the absorption of 283,234 workers.
