PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (SPSL) is strengthening internal process efficiency amid the increasingly competitive demands of the logistics industry. The company is training cross-functional workers to improve business workflows and enhance operational performance through Lean Six Sigma simulations held at Pelindo Tower, Jakarta, in early April.

A total of 22 workers participated in the training, which focused on a comprehensive understanding of business processes. Participants were trained to identify points of inefficiency and develop data-based improvements.

SPSL’s Director of Finance, Human Resources, and Risk Management, Herman Susilo, stated that strengthening human resources is key to maintaining the company’s competitiveness. “Developing human resource capabilities is the primary foundation in driving company transformation. We aim to build a work culture that not only focuses on execution but also on the ability to continuously adapt, innovate, collaborate, and make sustainable improvements across all business process lines,” said Herman on Monday (13/4/2026).

Through the Lean Six Sigma approach, the company encourages process- and data-based decision-making. This effort is aimed at improving operational efficiency while maintaining service quality.

Herman added that an end-to-end understanding of business processes is essential for producing integrated solutions. “Through various development programmes like this, we encourage every company member to strengthen synergy and gain an end-to-end understanding of business processes, thereby enabling the delivery of more integrated and sustainable solutions to every business challenge,” said Herman.

SPSL views strengthening human resource capabilities as an important factor in maintaining performance amid the dynamics of the logistics industry. The company also targets efficiency improvements as an effort to bolster competitiveness and integrated port-based logistics services.
