PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (SPSL) continues to strengthen the culture of innovation to support sustainable performance through the SPSL Programme of Innovation and Technology (SPRINT) 2025. This annual programme, themed “Ideas Built into Action,” reached its peak with the final pitching and awarding on 4 March 2026.

SPSL’s Director of Strategy and Business Development, Retno Soelistianti, stated that SPRINT embodies the company’s commitment to nurturing innovation oriented towards customer satisfaction, business process efficiency, and the development of services and products.

“Through this programme, we aim to ensure that the culture of innovation becomes increasingly ingrained in the work environment while prioritising customer centricity, business process efficiency, and the development of services/products,” Retno said.

She added that the innovations produced are expected not only to be creative but also applicable and capable of providing added value to the company. “Each of these innovations will become an important part in driving company performance and providing added value to customers,” she said.

SPRINT 2025 recorded high participation from workers. A total of 126 innovative ideas were collected from SPSL along with its subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries. From that number, 16 of the best ideas advanced to the final stage to be evaluated by the board of directors.

This year’s innovation competition was divided into three main categories: Innovation Ideation Open Category, Innovation Ideation Operational Category, and Innovation Implementation Category. The last two categories are new introductions aimed at encouraging more applicable innovations with direct impact on operations.

Retno explained that the Innovation Ideation Operational category focuses on generating ideas that can enhance operational services and support business transformation. Meanwhile, the Innovation Implementation category encourages the realisation of innovations in the form of quick wins in work units.

“SPRINT provides a space for workers to bring forth innovations that do not stop at the ideation stage but can be developed up to the implementation stage,” Retno said.

SPSL’s management also provides mentoring and monitoring of selected ideas to ensure optimal implementation across all company lines. This step aligns with efforts to strengthen human resources as the main driver of transformation and business growth.

In the culminating series of events, SPSL also featured a Sprint Talk session with speakers in the field of digital business. This activity aims to provide insights to participants regarding the importance of innovation, technology adaptation, and the development of a digital ecosystem in facing business competition.

Looking ahead, SPSL hopes that the SPRINT programme can continue to strengthen the culture of innovation and support the company’s transformation to become more adaptive, competitive, and sustainable in managing port services and integrated area development.
