Jakarta (ANTARA) - Director of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Jakarta Office, Kim Jisun, said that spring is a favourite time for international tourists to visit South Korea.

“Spring is one of the favourite seasons for international tourists, including those from Indonesia. Spring in Korea offers pleasant weather and beautiful, Instagrammable scenery,” said Kim Jisun, during a media gathering for the “Korea Hybrid Travel Fair 2026” event in Jakarta, on Friday.

Kim Jisun said that spring in South Korea usually lasts from March to May. During the spring, tourists can enjoy various outdoor activities such as picnics, city walks, and flower festivals held in various cities in South Korea.

One of the most famous flowers in spring is the cherry blossom, which blooms in various regions of South Korea.

In addition to cherry blossoms, tourists can also enjoy the vast fields of yellow canola flowers, which are very popular on Jeju Island.

There are also azalea flowers that begin to bloom in city parks and mountainous areas of South Korea, creating a beautiful landscape that is attractive for taking photos.

“And many Indonesian tourists choose spring as the best time to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of South Korea,” he said.

Furthermore, Kim Jisun also revealed that the enthusiasm of the Indonesian people for South Korea has increased in recent years.

“And according to data from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in 2025, the number of Indonesian tourists to South Korea reached 365,000, and this is the highest in history,” he said.
