SPPG Will Not Receive Rp6 Million Daily Incentive During School Holidays
The Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) will not receive incentives during the school holiday period, coinciding with the temporary suspension of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme distribution. Previously, the SPPG received an incentive of Rp6 million per day.
“All SPPG units that are not operating will not receive incentives,” said Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and BGN Spokesperson Agustina Arumsari during a press conference at the BGN Office in Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026).
Agustina stated that this provision is contained in Circular Letter Number 12 of 2026 concerning the Adjustment of SPPG Operations during holiday periods for the implementation of the MBG programme in the 2026 Fiscal Year. She explained that each SPPG has been receiving an incentive of Rp6 million per day, including units that are not yet fully operational because the number of beneficiaries has not reached the maximum capacity of 3,000 people.
According to Agustina, the temporary suspension of the incentive is in line with the BGN’s policy of not distributing MBG during the school holidays to support the restructuring and standardisation of the programme’s governance. She noted that the policy also results in budget efficiency. Based on BGN data, the number of operational SPPG units has reached 27,820.
Assuming the suspension of the Rp6 million daily incentive for 18 days of holiday, the BGN estimates the efficiency of the SPPG incentive budget will reach approximately Rp3 trillion.
She said the school holiday period is being used to reorganise the governance and operations of the MBG programme so that future implementation can be more effective and standardised.
“If we look at the number of operational SPPG units, 27,820, multiplied by the daily incentive over 18 days, we can achieve SPPG incentive efficiency of Rp3,004,560,000,000,” Agustina said.
Previously, Agustina announced that the MBG programme would not be distributed during the school holiday period from 22 June to 13 July 2026.
“For this occasion, the policy we have taken is to completely not distribute MBG with the intention, as mentioned, of standardising operational governance and resource efficiency,” she said.
