S'pore reserves total $80.4b
SINGAPORE (AP): Singapore held US$80.4 billion in official
foreign exchange reserves in January, up from $76.1 billion a
year ago, the Monetary Authority of Singapore said Wednesday.
The trading nation held S$138.8 billion (US$79.4 billion) in
gold and foreign exchange, up from 128.5 billion (US$73.5
billion) in January 2000, the authority said in a statement.
Singapore also held S$868 million (US$496.5 million) in
reserve with the International Monetary Fund, down from 908.5
million ($519.7 million) in the same period a year ago, the
central bank said.
