S'pore ministers to visit Brunei
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Reuter): A delegation of ministers from
Singapore will visit this oil-rich country beginning today for
bilateral meetings, officials from both countries said at the
weekend.
The visit is part of a regular series of exchanges between
Singapore and Brunei which began in 1990, a statement from
Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Singapore hosted
the last exchange in 1995.
Singapore's delegation will include Minister for Foreign
Affairs S. Jayakumar, Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng and
Yeo Cheow Tong, minister for health and minister for the
environment.
Private sector representatives will meet their Brunei
counterparts, the Singapore statement said.
