S'pore joins APEC business program

SINGAPORE: Singapore has joined an Asia Pacific Economic
Cooperation (APEC) program that cuts the red tape for business
travellers seeking to work in the other member nations, the
organization said on Wednesday.

Under the APEC Business Travel Card program, nationals from
the 16 participating countries can use express immigration lanes
at each other's airports.

Business travellers from the other 15 nations will also be
able to stay in Singapore for 60 days without a visa, APEC said
in a statement released here. -- AFP
