S'pore intrusion proven: Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysia has sent a memorandum to
Singapore backing its claim of intrusions by the island's
military planes into Malaysian air space, Defense Minister Syed
Hamid Albar said on Thursday.
The national news agency Bernama quoted him as saying that
detailed information about such intrusions had been forwarded to
Singapore's foreign ministry by its Malaysian counterpart.
"I have got information about incidents we consider a breach
(of our air space). We have gone through the normal channel which
is the foreign ministry to bring it up," he said in rebutting an
editorial in Singapore's Straits Times.
Syed Hamid showed reporters a document containing reported
incidents of intrusion by Singapore aircraft supported by their
exact location, types of aircraft and the times they happened.
