SPKLU Center in Tanjung Priok inaugurated, featuring 200 kW fast charging
Jakarta, KOMPAS.com – PLN UID Jakarta Raya officially launched the SPKLU Center at the PLN UP3 Tanjung Priok office in Kebon Bawang Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The facility is one of the electric vehicle charging hubs offering fast and ultra-fast charging services in the North Jakarta area. General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Andy Adchaminoerdin, said the SPKLU Center Tanjung Priok is designed so that electric vehicle users have a wide range of charging options in a single location. The SPKLU Center is equipped with various charging facilities, including two Ultra Fast Charging units at 200 kW, six Ultra Fast Charging units at 120 kW, and one Medium Charging unit at 22 kW. All charging units use CCS2 connectors and AC that are compatible with a range of electric vehicle brands marketed in Indonesia. This facility also expands PLN’s SPKLU network in Jakarta, as the population of electric vehicles in Indonesia grows. Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, Fredy Setiawan, said that the SPKLU is not merely a charging facility but a step towards a modern and sustainable city. “Its presence is not merely about providing charging facilities but represents an important step towards an innovative city with global competitiveness,” he said. He hopes the SPKLU’s presence will accelerate the shift of the public toward clean-energy vehicles. “The government will continue to introduce policies that facilitate the public’s transition to clean energy. We hope PLN and its partners will continue to expand the SPKLU network so that access for the public becomes even easier,” he added.
