Speedboat Carrying 11 Foreign Tourists Goes Missing in Gorontalo's Tomini Bay
A speedboat carrying 11 foreign tourists has been reported missing in the waters of Tomini Bay, Gorontalo. The Head of the Gorontalo Search and Rescue Office (KPP), Heriyanto, confirmed the incident, stating that the passengers included 11 tourists from Europe and two crew members. The speedboat departed from Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi, on Friday (24/7) at approximately 07:00 WITA and lost contact during its journey to Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo. The report of the missing vessel was first received from a local resident named Mukmin Badu. Following the report, a joint SAR team was immediately deployed to conduct a search operation in the waters of Tomini Bay, Gorontalo. The names of the foreign tourists on board have been released as Milan Kasik, Rani Permentier, Mathijs Sercu, Jelka Van Driesum, Hinke Van Deer, Roeland Van Driesum, Age Van Driesum, Matthias Prange, Celine Josette Menguy, Hector Fabio Prange, and Ronny Josue Prange.
