Specification leaks for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold Wide revealed

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Speculation surrounding the specifications of Samsung’s two latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold Wide, has emerged ahead of their scheduled launch on 22 July 2026. Citing GSMArena on Monday 18 May local time, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The foldable phone weighs around 210 grams and is 4.1 mm thick when unfolded. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is also rumoured to carry a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, higher than the previous generation. In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold8, Samsung is also preparing a new model named the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, featuring an inner display of 7.6 inches and a 4:3 aspect ratio. The device is expected to sport a dual rear-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera. In terms of power, the Galaxy Z Fold Wide will be equipped with a 4,800mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The device’s weight is estimated to be around 200 grams.
