Special weekend buffet at Novotel

YOGYAKARTA: Yogyakarta Novotel Hotel will offer a special weekend buffet in conjunction with its September 2003 program. The buffet will be available on Friday and Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Kedaton Restaurant.

Tex Mex -- a fusion of Texan and Mexican cuisine will feature on Friday evenings -- while Spices & Herbs -- a selection of spicy dishes from around the world -- will be Saturday's fare.

The guests can enjoy the buffet, including appetizers and desserts, for Rp 125,000 per person, according to Yogyakarta Novotel's Public Relations officer Dyah Retno Wikan.

At the Tex Mex buffet the choice will include: Mexican Rice with Capsicum, Creamy Spinach with Fresh Thyme & Parmesan Cheese, Grilled Chicken Breast with Bacon stuffing and Lemon Gravy, Blackened Beef with Mango Salsa, Poached Salmon with White Wine Coriander Sauce, and Steamed Seafood with Chili and Fresh Lime.

The Spices & Herbs buffet will include: Ayam Bakar Sambal Matah (Bali), Tom Yam Kung (Thailand), Briani Rice (India), Zucchini with Pesto (Italy), Lamb Curry with Vegetables (Malaysia), and the hotel's Chef Prijo Trijono's own creation, Mushrooms Sauteed in Kemangi Pesto Oil. --JP
