Special Prices for Chery Q Announced at GIIAS 2026, Intensifying Compact EV Competition
Chery Indonesia officially announced the pricing for the Chery Q compact electric vehicle at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 in ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Friday (31/07/2026). The model is available in two variants: the Chery Q Pure and the Chery Q Rizz.
Alongside the launch, Chery is offering an introductory price of Rp239.9 million on-the-road (OTR) Jakarta for the Q Pure variant. This price is valid for customers who place orders by 9 August 2026, or throughout the duration of GIIAS 2026, via the official Chery Indonesia website. Meanwhile, the Chery Q Rizz is being marketed at a special price of Rp259.9 million OTR Jakarta during the pre-booking period ending 9 August 2026. Customers ordering this variant will also receive the SIGMA Package at no additional cost.
Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Director of Chery Business Unit Indonesia, stated that the launch of the Chery Q is part of the company’s strategy to expand electric vehicle options in Indonesia. “Guided by the philosophy of Big, Strong, Intelligent, and Understanding You Better, the Chery Q offers a spacious cabin, smart technology, and comprehensive safety features,” said Budi.
In terms of design, the Chery Q adopts the ‘Aesthetics of Harmonious Square and Rounded’ concept, blending sharp and rounded lines. This identity is reinforced by ‘Q’-shaped headlights and taillights. The design has previously earned the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle offers ample space thanks to a dedicated electric vehicle platform with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Chery noted that rear passenger legroom reaches 977 mm and headroom reaches 985 mm. To support practicality, the Chery Q provides 38 storage compartments, a 70-litre front boot (frunk), and a rear boot that can expand up to 1,450 litres, bringing the total storage capacity to 1,520 litres.
Both the Pure and Rizz variants utilise a 42.7 kWh battery capacity, providing a range of up to 400 kilometres based on the NEDC standard. The vehicle also supports fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent in approximately 16.5 minutes and features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability with a 6.6 kW output.
Both variants feature a body structure composed of 82 per cent high-strength steel, multi-link rear suspension, and various digital features, including a personalisable user interface. As the top-tier variant, the Chery Q Rizz offers additional features such as a Power Frunk, Auto Power Folding Side Mirrors, Q-Talk, a 540-degree panoramic camera, and 20 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. The SIGMA package offered during the launch period also adds an electric power tailgate, autonomous parking assist, 17-inch alloys, a 50W wireless charger, and ambient lighting.
The Chery Q is available in three colours: Oat Latte, Dusk Purple, and Spark White. The arrival of this model intensifies the competition in Indonesia’s compact electric vehicle segment. Previously, the Geely EX2 was launched with Pro types at Rp239.9 million and Max types at Rp269.9 million. The GAC Aion UT is priced between Rp299 million (exhibition promo) and Rp359 million for the premium type, while the Wuling BinguoEV is priced around the Rp300 million range.
