Special Independence Day! PLN Offers 50% Power Upgrade Discount Until 25 August

In celebration of the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence, PLN is once again offering a power capacity upgrade promotion with a 50 percent discount. The programme applies to customers who meet a number of conditions.

The promotion, titled “Merdeka Daya”, can be used by customers during the period of 17–25 August 2026 through the PLN Mobile application. Below is complete information on the tariff list, terms and conditions.

Referring to a post on PLN’s official account, the Merdeka Daya promotion provides a 50 percent discount on power capacity upgrades. The promotion applies to single-phase consumers across all tariff groups.

To obtain the discount e-voucher, customers must purchase a token or pay their electricity bill through the PLN Mobile application during the promotion period.

For customers upgrading from 450 VA to 900 VA, the normal price is Rp421,650 and the promotional price is Rp210,825. Upgrading to 1,300 VA costs Rp398,225 instead of the normal Rp796,450. Upgrading to 2,200 VA costs Rp819,875 instead of Rp1,639,750. Upgrading to 3,500 VA costs Rp1,477,725 instead of Rp2,955,450. Upgrading to 4,400 VA costs Rp1,913,775 instead of Rp3,827,550. Upgrading to 5,500 VA costs Rp2,446,725 instead of Rp4,893,450. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp3,512,625 instead of Rp7,025,250.

For customers upgrading from 900 VA to 1,300 VA, the normal price is Rp374,800 and the promotional price is Rp187,400. Upgrading to 2,200 VA costs Rp609,050 instead of Rp1,218,100. Upgrading to 3,500 VA costs Rp1,259,700 instead of Rp2,519,400. Upgrading to 4,400 VA costs Rp1,695,750 instead of Rp3,391,500. Upgrading to 5,500 VA costs Rp2,228,700 instead of Rp4,457,400. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp3,294,600 instead of Rp6,589,200.

For customers upgrading from 1,300 VA to 2,200 VA, the normal price is Rp843,300 and the promotional price is Rp421,650. Upgrading to 3,500 VA costs Rp1,065,900 instead of Rp2,131,800. Upgrading to 4,400 VA costs Rp1,501,950 instead of Rp3,003,900. Upgrading to 5,500 VA costs Rp2,034,900 instead of Rp4,069,800. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp3,100,800 instead of Rp6,201,600.

For customers upgrading from 2,200 VA to 3,500 VA, the normal price is Rp1,259,700 and the promotional price is Rp629,850. Upgrading to 4,400 VA costs Rp1,065,900 instead of Rp2,131,800. Upgrading to 5,500 VA costs Rp1,598,850 instead of Rp3,197,700. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp2,664,750 instead of Rp5,329,500.

For customers upgrading from 3,500 VA to 4,400 VA, the normal price is Rp872,100 and the promotional price is Rp436,050. Upgrading to 5,500 VA costs Rp969,000 instead of Rp1,938,000. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp2,034,900 instead of Rp4,069,800.

For customers upgrading from 4,400 VA to 5,500 VA, the normal price is Rp1,065,900 and the promotional price is Rp532,950. Upgrading to 7,700 VA costs Rp1,598,850 instead of Rp3,197,700.

For customers upgrading from 5,500 VA to 7,700 VA, the normal price is Rp2,131,800 and the promotional price is Rp1,065,900.

The power upgrade promotion runs from 17 to 25 August 2026 with the following conditions: low-voltage, single-phase consumers with an initial capacity of 450 VA to 5,500 VA upgrading up to 7,700 VA; registered as a PLN customer before 1 August 2026; all electricity bills or other obligations must be settled; and at least one token purchase or bill payment must be made through the PLN Mobile application to obtain the power upgrade discount e-voucher.

PLN has set a maximum of four e-vouchers per PLN Mobile account. E-vouchers can only be used for that account, and the promotion applies once per IDPEL during the promotion period. E-vouchers can be claimed through the “Claim Voucher” menu on the power upgrade promotion banner in the PLN Mobile application during the programme period.

Connection fees must be paid in full upfront without instalments. Meanwhile, the security deposit can be paid in up to 12 instalments specifically for postpaid customers. The promotion does not include network reinforcement, phase changes, tariff changes or service type changes. Customers also cannot reduce their power capacity for at least one year after the upgrade is realised. In addition, the promotion cannot be combined with other connection fee relief. The Merdeka Daya programme applies to single-phase consumers across all tariff groups and can only be used through PLN Mobile.
