Amidst limited national quotas for the 2026 Special Hajj, PT Asia Utama Wisata has dispatched two buses carrying pilgrims to the Holy Land on Friday, May 15th, via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The pilgrims were seen off at the Anara Hotel Lounge, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, and the event was attended by company management, the pilgrims’ families, and the accompanying religious and health teams.

Nurbethi Lubis, the leader of PT Asia Utama Wisata, stated that this departure is part of the absorption of Indonesia’s official Hajj quota this year, which reaches 221,000 pilgrims.

According to him, the departure of the two buses of pilgrims is noteworthy because the national quota for the Special Hajj this year is only 17,680 people.

“Amidst the limited national Special Hajj quota, this departure shows the high level of public trust in the services of special Hajj organizers,” said Nurbethi in a statement on Friday, May 15th.

He added that the company also places health as a primary focus in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, especially for elderly pilgrims who are vulnerable to weather changes and physical conditions in Saudi Arabia.

To support this, Asiatour included religious guide Ustaz Ahmad Bastari M. Noor (Lc), and pulmonologist Dr. Andika Chandra Putra (Sp.P), in the group of pilgrims.

“The involvement of a pulmonologist is to anticipate the health challenges of pilgrims in the Holy Land, especially for the elderly,” he said.

In addition to the departure of pilgrims, Asiatour also announced that it has been appointed as one of the seven holders of the official user system in Indonesia to support the operation of Special Hajj Organizers (PIHK) who are members of the All-Indonesia Haramain Entrepreneurs Alliance (Asphirasi).

In this mandate, the company is tasked with overseeing the technical processes of PIHK members, starting from data synchronization, visa processing, to operations in Saudi Arabia. (Z-10)
