Special Economic Zone Investment Realisation Reaches Rp 90.1 Trillion in 2024, Exceeding Target
JAKARTA. Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani, reported that Special Economic Zone (KEK) investment realisation reached Rp 90.1 trillion throughout 2024.
Rosan said this figure surpassed the government's target of Rp 78.1 trillion for last year. "So we exceeded the 2024 target," he said when met at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday (22/7).
On the employment front, the KEKs absorbed 47,747 workers, also far exceeding the government's target of 38,953 workers for last year. Meanwhile, 72 additional business operators were recorded during the January–December 2024 period.
Cumulatively, Rosan said KEK investment from 2012 to 2024 reached Rp 263.4 trillion. "Meanwhile, there have been 403 business sectors and total employment absorption from 2012 to 2024 of 160,874," he said.
