In its oversight function, the DPR will ensure that government performance delivers a better impact on people’s lives. This includes highlighting issues of public concern that require follow-up, such as the resolution of legal cases, relaxation of regional civil servant spending, protection of migrant workers and online transport, expansion of job opportunities, anticipation of forest fires, availability of agricultural water, evaluation of education budget governance, encouraging investment, layoffs, and BPJS Kesehatan.
Regarding the State Budget Bill and Financial Note, the DPR notes that the 2027 state budget could approach Rp4,000 trillion. Therefore, budget performance must meet the people’s needs so that their lives improve, bringing together growth and equity, economic progress, and social justice.
