SPBU Employee Assailant in Cipinang Tests Positive for Drugs
Police stated that the perpetrator, who assaulted employees at a gas station in Cipinang, East Jakarta, tested positive for narcotics. This result was obtained after the police conducted a urine test on the perpetrator.
“The urine test showed that the perpetrator tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal, at the East Jakarta Police Headquarters, Wednesday (February 25).
Alfian explained that the suspicion arose because the perpetrator, with the initials JMH, provided inconsistent statements during questioning.
“During the initial interview, the perpetrator’s statements were unclear or inconsistent,” said Alfian.
“I felt that there was an indication that he was under the influence of alcohol, but when I approached him, he denied it,” he added.
Therefore, Alfian ordered the Medical and Health Division (Dokkes) to conduct a urine test on the perpetrator JMH.
“And it turned out that after the urine test, he tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. And after we conducted the examination, he admitted to using ecstasy, marijuana, and methamphetamine,” he said.
Previously, it was reported that three employees of a gas station in Cipinang, East Jakarta, were victims of an assault on Sunday night, February 22, 2026. In a video circulating on social media, the perpetrator of the assault was allegedly a security officer.
The three gas station employees who were assaulted were Lukmanul Hakim, the gas station operator; Khairul Anam, a gas station staff member; and Mahbudin, an operator who tried to stop the fight.
“Khairul Anam was slapped on the cheek. Then Lukman was punched in the right jaw. And Mahbud was punched under the eye and on the cheek, so his teeth are loose,” said one of the gas station employees, Mukhlisin, 38, in Jakarta, Monday, February 23, 2026.
Mukhlisin recounted the beginning of the alleged assault by a security officer. At that time, the perpetrator, who was a passenger in a luxury car, wanted to fill up with subsidized fuel using a barcode for the vehicle he was in, but it turned out to be different from the one listed in the barcode information.
“The barcode number was correct, but the car did not match the image on the EDC machine. According to the rules, the license plate number and the car must match,” said Mukhlisin. (MGN/P-3)
