The Buleleng Regency Government is accelerating the preparation of spatial planning for five strategic areas, namely Tejakula, Kubutambahan, Sawan, Banjar, and Seririt. This step is expected to make development more directed while making it easier for the community and investors to manage permits.

The plan was discussed during the first Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR) and the first Public Consultation for the Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) of Buleleng Regency 2026, held at the Azana Hotel, Seririt District, on Monday (5/10/2026).

The Deputy Regent of Buleleng, Gede Supriatna, stated that the RDTR is crucial as it serves as a guideline for determining spatial utilisation. Through more detailed regulations, it is hoped that development in each area will not become chaotic.

“Each region has different characteristics, potentials, problems, and development needs,” said Supertna.

The PDIP politician noted that the preparation of the RDTR must involve the community as well as village governments. Input from various parties is required to ensure that the regulations created truly align with the conditions on the ground.

Supriatna emphasised that the RDTR is expected to provide certainty for the community and business actors in utilising space. He claimed that the substance of the RDTR being prepared is truly in accordance with the needs and development direction of Buleleng Regency in the future.

The Head of the Buleleng Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas (PUPRPERKIM), Putu Adipta Eka Putra, said the five areas were chosen because they hold strategic positions in the development of Buleleng.

Adipta emphasised that the RDTR will be integrated with the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. This integration is expected to make the business licensing process even easier, faster, and more efficient.

“This is a very good opportunity because Buleleng has received assistance for the preparation of five RDTRs from the Ministry of ATR/BPN,” said Adipta.

Adipta requested that sub-district heads, village heads, regional apparatus organisations (OPD), and the community actively provide data and input. He stressed that the regulations being drafted must not be inconsistent with field conditions.

“The hope is that all RDTRs can be completed on time, with high quality, and are able to reflect the conditions and potential of each respective region,” Adipta concluded.
