Spanish ambassador visits Karawaci

TANGERANG: The Spanish ambassador to Indonesia, Damaso da Lario, visited the Lippo Karawaci housing estate on Wednesday to maintain the good relations with the community living in and around the estate.

"I'm here to express my appreciation to the people for the good relationship and friendship that we have enjoyed for a long time," Da Lario said.

The ambassador also commended Lippo for its use of Spanish architectural styles, which he said was a reflection of the friendship between Spain and Indonesia.

Accompanied by Lippo president commissioner Mochtar Ryadi, Da Lario also officiated over the introduction of 80 new houses designed in the Spanish architectural style in the Karawaci Spanish Park area.

Lippo spokesman M. Faisal said all the new houses -- available in the Cordoba, Alhambra, Avilla, Marbella, Mallorca and Esmeralda types -- had been sold during the promotion period. -- JP
