SP3 Issued! Rismon Sianipar Cleared from Legal Entanglements in Jokowi Fake Diploma Allegation Case
Jakarta, VIVA - Digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar is no longer officially a suspect. This is because Metro Jaya Police have formally halted the case that made him a suspect.
“The termination of investigation order against suspect Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar was issued on 14 April 2026,” said Director of General Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, on Friday, 17 April 2026.
Rismon is known to be one of the suspects in the case of allegations of a fake diploma belonging to Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo, alias Jokowi. Rismon officially submitted restorative justice to Jokowi’s side regarding the case. Consequently, the police facilitated mediation, and the case ensnaring Rismon was ultimately halted.
“The implementation of a special case review under the restorative justice mechanism for suspect Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar took place on 8 April 2026,” he added.
Previously reported, efforts at peace in the polemic of allegations regarding the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo, alias Jokowi, continue to unfold. Although suspect and digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar has reconciled with Jokowi’s camp, the legal process has not fully stopped.
Metro Jaya Police emphasised that the restorative justice (RJ) application submitted by Rismon is still in the processing stage and has not been decided. Police stated that the RJ mechanism cannot be immediately granted even if reconciliation has occurred between the complainant and the respondent.
“This is still in the processing stage. So, in the restorative justice stage, there is a request from the suspect to the victim or complainant,” said Head of Public Relations Division at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Friday, 10 April 2026.
It is known that digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar submitted a restorative justice application related to the suspected fake diploma case of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
This was confirmed by Director of General Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin. He said the restorative justice application letter was submitted last week.
“Last week, the restorative justice application was submitted,” he said on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
Iman added that today the individual in question visited Metro Jaya Police Headquarters with his lawyer. This was to inquire about the progress of the restorative justice he submitted. Similar steps had previously been taken by two suspects in this case, namely Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis.
