The Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 exhibition has been officially opened, reaffirming its position as the largest textile and garment event in Southeast Asia. The event was attended by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, the Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmadja, the Chairman of APSYFI Redma Gita Wirawasta, the Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Printing Community Usman Batu Bara, AFTEX delegates, and various other VIP guests.

In his speech, the API Chairman highlighted that 2026 begins with a still dynamic global situation, marked by geopolitical tensions, trade disruptions, and shifts in supply chains. He emphasised that amid these challenges, the textile and textile products (TPT) industry is required to become more efficient, adaptive, and visionary. Nevertheless, the industry has proven to have strong resilience and remains a strategic sector that absorbs millions of workers, supports national industrialisation, and connects the value chain from upstream to downstream.

Meanwhile, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in his speech affirmed that the performance of the national TPT industry remains stable.

“Throughout 2025, this sector recorded growth of 3.55% (YoY), with export value reaching USD 12.08 billion and a surplus of USD 3.45 billion,” he said.

In this context, the organisation of Indo Intertex – Inatex 2026 is considered increasingly relevant and strategic, not only as an exhibition venue but also as a momentum to accelerate the strengthening of the national TPT industry. Furthermore, the exhibition serves as a business matching platform that brings together national and international business players, thereby opening up broader partnership and investment opportunities. Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 presents various latest innovations along the textile industry value chain, from sustainable machinery, eco-friendly products, to recycling technology, energy efficiency, and AI-based solutions that drive the digital transformation of the industry.

In addition to the exhibition, various flagship programmes are also held, such as seminars on textile industry developments, business workshops, and a series of interactive activities presented by exhibitors and partners.

This year, the exhibition is participated in by 428 TPT industry companies, with domestic industry participation reaching 65%. Meanwhile, domestic TPT machinery industry participation is recorded at 60%, indicating the strong contribution and readiness of national industry players in driving the growth of this sector.

Through the organisation of Indo Intertex – Inatex 2026, it is hoped that closer collaboration among industry players will be created, while strengthening Indonesia’s position as one of the major players in the global textile industry.
