South Tangerang City Government Strengthens Bureaucratic Reform and Integrity
The South Tangerang municipal government continues to optimise bureaucratic reform and the strengthening of integrity through synergy across regional apparatus. This is being realised through close collaboration between the Communications and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) and the South Tangerang Inspectorate in promoting a transparent, accountable work culture oriented towards public service.
Head of Diskominfo of South Tangerang, Tb. Asep Nurdin, affirmed that transparency in government governance must go hand in hand with education and digital literacy for residents so that public oversight can run optimally.
“We fully support the integrity-strengthening efforts initiated by the Inspectorate. Through collaboration like this, we hope that a professional, accountable and integrity-driven work culture grows stronger across all regional apparatus, leading to improved quality of services for the public,” said Asep on Monday (3/8/2026).
Asep added that Diskominfo is actively utilising official communication channels and anti-corruption campaigns to educate residents so they can participate in and make transparent use of the government’s digital services.
Meanwhile, the City Inspector of South Tangerang, Achmad Zubair, explained that the city government has issued a Mayoral Circular on Steps to Improve Government Governance. The policy is designed as a preventive instrument to boost regulatory compliance, strengthen the Government Internal Control System (SPIP), and suppress the potential for fraud from the outset.
The scope of this strengthened internal oversight covers disciplinary enforcement for civil servants (ASN), regional financial governance, goods and services procurement mechanisms, and the management of Regional-Owned Assets (BMD).
Through various innovative programmes such as the ‘Chatting About Integrity with the Inspectorate’ (NGORBIT) forum and the implementation of integrated governance policies, the South Tangerang city government is committed to maintaining clean and trusted public services for all residents.
