South Sumatra Regional Parliament Chief Justifies IDR 486.9 Million Allocation for Two Billiard Tables in Official Residences
The Chair of South Sumatra’s Regional Parliament (DPRD), Andie Dinialdie, has commented on the procurement of two billiard tables for the official residences (rumah dinas) of two DPRD leaders valued at IDR 486.9 million. He stated that the billiard tables remain in the planning stage.
“I have already contacted the Secretary of the Council (Sekwan) to clarify the procurement of these items. However, for everyone’s information, all of this is still in the planning stage; there has been no purchase yet,” said Andie, as reported by detikSumbagsel on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
According to data from the General Procurement Planning Information System (SIRUP) of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) from the DPRD Sumsel Secretariat as of 7 March 2026, the planned procurement includes a billiard table for the chair valued at IDR 151 million and for the third vice-chair at IDR 335.9 million.
Andie, who is also Chair of the All-Indonesia Billiards Sports Association (POBSI) for South Sumatra, stated that the billiard tables would eventually serve as an alternative training location for South Sumatra’s billiard athletes.
“So in addition to existing facilities, athletes can also train in the official residences,” he said.
Nevertheless, this Golkar Party legislator acknowledged that he understands public concern regarding the use of regional budgets. Therefore, he continued, every procurement plan would be re-evaluated by considering principles of efficiency and priority needs.
“If deemed non-urgent or not providing significant benefit, then the procurement can be reviewed again or even cancelled,” he said.
